I’ve learnt my lesson. NEVER tell suppliers the true date of your wedding unless you need them to deliver on the actual day itself. Otherwise, make it up. I’ve had issues with both dress tailors and shoe-makers for my bridesmaids. Both times their excuse for not delivering the finished item on time was that it wasn’t urgent as my wedding is in 2-months time. Are they taking the piss? Do they not understand that 1. customer is always first 2. if they tell me it’ll be ready at the end of March, that’s what I expect? Just because the practice in Hong Kong is to delay everything till the last minute doesn’t mean every bride wants that.
Fellow brides out there, sometimes lying can be the best way forward.
