Wedding Dresses: East Meets West.

You’re Chinese or your fiance’s Chinese or you simply love all things Chinese and deteste red, the traditional Chinese wedding gown colour. Instead of changing from a qipao (aka cheong sam) into a Western wedding dress, why not combine the two and wear a Chinese inspired white wedding gown? Wearing traditional qipaos meant you had to go on a 6-month diet as the style hugs every part of your body and is unflattering even if you had a slight stomach. This way, you can keep the Chinese elements, mainly the mandarin collar, and customise the dress for your body shape. Give it a modern twist with a keyhole back or a sheer neckline. You’ll be one cultural and feminine bride.
