How many times have you watched a romantic movie and wish you could be one of the characters, be it Sandy and Danny in Grease, Baby and Johnny from Dirty Dancing or Dorothy and Jeremy in Jerry Maguire? ‘You complete me’. Oh does my heart melt.
No one said you can’t star in your own movie and in the case of Maymei & Kin, they chose the universally acclaimed film, In the Mood for Love for their engagement themed shoot. Re-enacting the 1960s of Hong Kong, Hilary of Hilary Chan Photography managed to capture the sultriness of that decade and portray the lust and love that was featured so prominently in the movie. It’s not often that you come across engagement shoots at night so it’s a welcome change from the usual daytime ‘Stanley’ shots. Goes to show that nothing is impossible; you just need to be creative.
