Team Chocolate + Cream. Yum.

Happy Belated International Chocolate Day for yesterday (would’ve posted yesterday but encountered a few technical issues but nothing Bridelicious can’t fix)! Bet you didn’t know that, did you? It’s proven that small dosages of that dark and bittersweet chunk of comfort does good to the body and when you’re sitting by a log fire (right, we may not have fireplaces in HK but you know what we mean!) on a cold wintry day, who can resist a steaming cup of hot chocolate? Make that two. Now, to celebrate this very special day, we’ve got a chocolate themed wedding inspiration board for you. Be sure to get yourself a glass of iced chocolate (it’s 30 degrees out there!) before you begin reading.

Incorporate all different chocolate colours: truffle, latte, milk. If only the invitations were edible.

Team Coral + Turquoise. So hot.

If you’ve been keeping up with this week’s New York Fashion Week, you’ll notice that the colour blocking trend is still going strong and Spring 2012 will be one colourful season. We are in love with coral or some call it, melon or tangerine. Whatever name you decide to use, it is HOT. Designers from Jason Wu to Sachin + Babi have incorporated the colour in their collection so it’s about time you use it for your wedding. What about coral and turquoise? Ah, you’ll be so vogue.

Blush your wedding.

When it comes to colour themes, too many brides in HK think of pink and more specifically, the Hello Kitty-pink or baby pink which comes across as childish and cheap. In order to elevate your wedding to classy, go for a dusty pale pink or what it’s commonly called, blush. It’s subtle and romantic yet maintains a sweet vibe. Pair it with ivory or butterscotch and you’ve got one glamorous wedding with a vintage twist.

Spread the love before your big day.

Or give yourself that brush of blush. Reese Witherspoon did it, why can’t you?

Bridesmaids Wedding Shoes

Bridesmaid shoes at a bargain.

Many brides concentrate so much on themselves looking fabulous, that they forget (or intentionally when the Evil Queen in them is in play) about the bridesmaids. They’ll usually coordinate the dresses but completely disregard the need to coordinate the shoes. Knock knock. Who wants to look at ugly feet? So, if you want your bridesmaids to not look like one footy mess, then factor in their shoes into your wedding budget. Don’t worry, they won’t steal your thunder on your big day.

Head to Something Thine, a tailor-made shoe store for your bridesmaids’ shoes. They’ve got a special offer if you’ve got 4 more in your bridal party. HKD499 for a pair. Now that’s a bargain. Hurry though as the offer ends 21st September!

Bonus: Aren’t you just lucky? They’ve also got a deal at Groupon where you can purchase a voucher – HKD399 for a pair or HKD749 for two for ladies’ shoes so if you’re in need of some wedding shoes or just simply a shopaholic, get them now. You’ve only got 13 hours left.
