Team Dark Brown + Orange: Happy Thanksgiving!

Bridelicious is not American but hey, what’s not to like about a bit of festive spirit and what better way to do this than to combine your wedding with some turkey and pumpkin pie? Think fall (autumn for the Brits), varying shades of brown and orange and leaves galore. Give thanks and snuggle up.

Send some warmth to your guests’ way…

11.11.11 @ 11.11.11am or 11.11.11pm. Auspicious, superstitious or plain stupid? Weddings are expensive already, why make it more by getting married on a day when suppliers inflate the prices, banking on people thinking it’s an unforgettable day and fighting for venues with other like-minded couples? Fine, it only happens once a century but if you’re really meant to be, you don’t need a palindromic date to make it memorable. C’mon people. Stop with the hype already.

Proposals

Flashmob Proposal.

Scratching your head for a unique proposal idea that’s not corny or sickeningly OTT? Trust me male species, getting down on one knee in a restaurant with a bouquet of roses surrounded by 30 strangers and declaring your undying love is not the epitome of romance. Proposals are a very private affair so do it when you’re alone. Having said that, this public proposal that you’re about to see somehow works. It proves that you don’t need to whisk the love of your life to an exotic location for her to say yes. Think a little, surprise a lot and you’ll get the answer you’ve been waiting for.

Now, who said girls were demanding?

If your wardrobe looks like it’s come right out of the movie 27 Dresses and you’re worried you’re being judged, don’t. Hey, you’re allowed to have so many best friends in your life. It’s not a crime. Just that you’re sacrificing valuable wardrobe space for bridesmaid dresses that you will never wear again. Why leave them to rot? Send them to NewlyMaid and in return, you get credit to buy a LBD (little black dress for those of you who aren’t familiar with the fashion lingo) from their collection. That’s almost 50% discount off the retail price. How awesome is that? Only caveats are that the bridesmaid dresses must be on their approved list of brands and the service is only available in the US at the moment. What you can do though is give your dress to a friend living there and get them to send it to NewlyMaid. Simple.

Brides, be a good friend and tell your bridesmaids now.
